Answers about booking, sessions, image delivery, and what to expect

1. Booking and availability

How do I book a session?
You can book through our online Photography Services & Pricing or contact us directly with your requirements. Once availability is confirmed, we will provide the next steps.

How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weekends, events, and seasonal dates. Last-minute availability may sometimes be possible, but it cannot be guaranteed.

Do you travel?
Yes. We are based in Cambridge and are happy to travel across England for selected sessions, events, and special occasions.

Do you travel outside the UK?
Yes — we are available for international bookings. We have previously travelled abroad for photography and are happy to discuss destination sessions or events. For international bookings, we require reasonable notice, and travel and accommodation costs must be covered by the client.

What types of photography do you offer?
From ceremonies, weddings and events to portraits and family sessions, we cover a wide range of photography.

2. Before the session

What should I wear?
We recommend wearing something comfortable that feels like you. Neutral tones, coordinated colours, and simple styling often work well in photographs, but the most important thing is that you feel confident and comfortable.

Can I share ideas or specific shots I would like?
Yes. You are very welcome to share inspiration, preferences, or particular moments you would like captured. We will always do our best to accommodate these while working in our natural style.

Where will the session take place?
This depends on the type of booking. Sessions may take place outdoors, at a chosen venue, at an event location, or another agreed setting.

3. On the day

What if I feel awkward in front of the camera?
That is completely fine. Many people feel this way at first. We aim to create a relaxed environment and guide you gently so the final images feel natural and comfortable.

How long does a session last?
Session length depends on the type of booking. This will usually be confirmed at the time of booking.

What happens if we are running late?
Please let us know as soon as possible. We will always try to accommodate delays where possible, but late arrival may reduce the available session time, and can affect the number and variety of final images.

What happens if the weather is bad?
For outdoor sessions, we may reschedule where needed depending on conditions. 

What if someone is unwell?
If someone involved in the session is unwell, please contact us as soon as possible. Where appropriate, we will do our best to rearrange the booking.

4. After the session

When will I receive my photos?
Images are delivered within a reasonable timeframe after your session. Delivery times can vary depending on the type of booking and the amount of editing involved. If your package includes printed copies, these will usually be arranged after you have selected your preferred images and may take a little longer to arrive.

How will I receive my images?
Your final images are usually delivered digitally through an online gallery and download links. Some packages also include a small number of physical prints or photo copies. Where prints are included, you will be able to choose which images you would like printed.

How many images will I receive?
The number of final images included will depend on the package selected at the time of booking. Full details are provided when you book.

Some packages also include a number of Enhanced Photos of Your Choice. These are images you select for additional detailed editing, where we carefully refine each photo and remove minor imperfections from both the subject and the surrounding area where appropriate.

Do you provide unedited or raw images?
No. We deliver edited images that reflect our final work and photography style.

Can I choose my favourite images?
Some packages allow you to choose your favourite images for prints or for Enhanced Photos of Your Choice. The options included will depend on the package selected at the time of booking.

5. Image use and permissions

Can I share my photos on social media?
Yes. You are welcome to share your images for personal use. Credit is always appreciated where possible.

Can images be used for business or commercial purposes?
If the booking is for a business, brand, product, or other commercial purpose, please let us know in advance so the appropriate usage can be agreed as part of the booking.

Will my photos be used on your website or social media?
No, unless you have given permission for selected images to be used for portfolio, website, or social media purposes.

6. Changes, cancellations, and practical details

Can I reschedule my booking?
Yes. We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for standard sessions and 72 hours’ notice for events, travel bookings, or location-based sessions.

What happens if I need to cancel?
Please let us know as soon as possible. We will always try to accommodate changes where we can.

How long will my gallery or images remain available?
Your gallery or images will usually remain available for up to 6 months after delivery. We recommend downloading and backing up your files as soon as possible after delivery.

7. Other common questions

Do you photograph events as well as private sessions?
Yes. We cover both private bookings and selected event photography.

Can family members, children, or guests be included?
In most cases, yes, depending on the type of session booked and the setting.
